Merry Christmas to one and all! December is the time of year that holds a mixture of stress types and levels. Both happy stress and the tense stress we all know too well. There is the rush to get ready for Christmas on the home front and everyone is hustling to finish work projects on the business front. This happens year in and year out but we don’t seem to remember from one to the next. At least not enough to start getting a head start on tasks! All of us at StarTech Computing want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season!

I can’t speak for the southeastern section of WI, but living on the WI/MN border there are two things that weigh on a person’s mind this time of year….Packer/Viking football and deer hunting. If you aren’t an avid fan you still find yourself in discussions with those that are. Now when it comes to football, most of you probably know which camp I am a fan of, but if not, there is a clue in one of the pictures in the newsletter.

It may seem early to some, but the end of 2011 is just around the corner! Didn’t this year just seem to fly by? It is the perfect time of year to take a look at your budgeted 2011 dollars and to review your technology needs for the remainder of this year as well as the upcoming 2012. Yes, there is still plenty of time to make those end of year purchases!

There certainly is a hint of fall in the air the last couple of days! One thing is for sure, we certainly have seen a variety of temperatures over the past week or so. Even though it seems early in the season, it was a blessing to hear of a bit of snow falling on the Boundary Waters and slowing the fire down a bit.

Summer is here! And the busyness of summer is in full swing. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather!

What a wonderful sunny day we are having. It is hard to believe we are already at the end of the first week of May! Let’s hope the nice temps and sunshine stay around for a bit.

Our Spring Time April Newsletter.

It is hard to go about the day without thinking of what is going on in the world right now. Those of us living in the United States must go about our business as usual, working, chauffeuring kids, doing our daily tasks, etc., all the while knowing there are horrendous things happening in Japan. In a different era, we would not feel so connected but as the world has gotten smaller and smaller it seems those places that seemed so far away are now practically our neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers go out, not only to Japan, but to all the countries affected by this disaster.

Oh my goodness – who would have thought we would have such a large storm front taking place. I imagine it has affected each of you one day or another. Our office in Janesville reports 4 foot drifts! Our vendors from all areas of the country are reminding us of possible delays of delivered goods. So far this has not happened. And on the home front, our ears are listening for possible Super Bowl complications as the Dallas area deals with heavy ice. We just hope everyone stays safe and of course we hope the Packers come home as the victors!
