Position Summary
This entry-level position provides IT technical support and guidance to our customers and their end-users. Systems specialists also perform routine maintenance of our customers’ IT-related services and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
– Provide IT technical support in a responsive and service-oriented manner
– Assist with the support and maintenance of IT solutions, including:
– Security and DR – firewalls, endpoint security, threat detection and response, backup and replication
– On-premise, hybrid, and cloud-native Active Directory environments
– On-premise physical and virtualized Windows servers
– Windows desktops and laptops
– Microsoft 365
– Network switches, wireless, network-attached storage, and other misc. devices
– Assist with the execution of IT projects
– Maintain clear and concise time entry details of work performed based on our service standards.
– Write and maintain customer documentation
– Rotating On Call Schedule
Job Requirements
– Possess a valid driver’s license and provide their own, reliable means of transportation to customer sites within a roughly 60-mile radius of Red Wing, MN, and Hudson, WI.
– Possess reliable and adequate home internet as well as a mobile phone.
– Ability to work within a team, with limited supervision, and multitask.
– Ability to multitask and deal with frequent interruptions
Qualifications
– Exceptional oral, written, listening, and customer service skills
– Minimum 2-year technical program – equivalent work experience will be considered
– Flexible and robust troubleshooting skills
– The ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a systematic approach
– The ability to quickly adapt existing knowledge to solutions/services you may not be entirely familiar with
– Ability to follow set standards of configuration
– Understanding of the following key fundamentals of networks:
– Wired networking – physical connections, cable terminations, network switches
– Wireless networking
– TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
– Access rules and NAT
Experience with the following solutions/services:
– Microsoft Windows (Server and Desktop) operating systems
– Active Directory (on-premise)
– Microsoft 365 – Basic management of users, multi-factor authentication, Exchange Online

Position Summary
As a Systems Engineer, you will deliver, support, and maintain IT solutions for new and existing customers.

Job description:
StarTech Computing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Coordinator is responsible for attaining maximum utilization of internal and field technical resources through daily dispatch of service requests, in addition to, superior customer service to our clients. Perform service request intake from clients; assign, schedule and dispatch service engineers for remote or on-site service according to urgency, contractual service level agreements (SLA). This position will make priority determinations of the customer issue in relation to availability of the engineers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the single point of contact to the client for all types of service requests
Process service requests as they arrive through our portal, phone, email, manual entry or direct client input.
Schedule and assign internal and field technical resources on our dispatch portal and provide follow-up on activities.
Monitor resource schedules to ensure prompt time entry on service requests.
Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within agreed upon service levels to management.
Communication with clients: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
Provide superior client service, perception, and satisfaction in how clients experience expedient turnaround.
Enter all work as service tickets into ticketing platform.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Understand processes by completing assigned training materials.
Monthly Time Approval Process:
Approving and reconciling time entries
Review and correct time entries specifically related to work role and billable indicator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to support and coordinate business processes.
Interpersonal skills such as strong communication skills, active listening, written and oral communication skills and customer-care.
At least 2 years of Dispatch/Customer Service/Vendor Management or Administrative positions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to self-motivate and multi-task.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Driver’s license, must have ability to commute to Red Wing.
