Current Openings:

  • Senior Systems Engineer: As a Senior System Engineer, you will deliver, support, and maintain IT solutions for new and existing customers.

    You will assist team members in making reliable technical decisions, handling ticket escalations, and becoming a subject matter expert in one or more areas of expertise relative to our service stack.

    Senior Systems Engineers will aid with the creation of company standards for the solutions we sell.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    – Provide support for customers and other engineering staff members in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
    – Design, build, deploy, and maintain IT solutions, including: Security and DR – firewalls, endpoint security, threat detection and response, backup, and replication.
    – On-premise, hybrid, and cloud-native Active Directory environments.
    – On-premise physical and virtualized Windows servers; Windows desktops and laptops.
    – Network switches, wireless, network-attached storage, and other misc. devices. 
    – Execution and conclusion of projects on time and budget.
    – Ownership and management of customer projects and issues.
    – Maintain clear and concise time entry details of work performed based on our service standards.
    – Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications. 
    – Assist with the development of internal standards for deploying IT solutions.
    – Network assessments and solution gathering for potential new customers.

  • B2B Outside Sales Professional: As an B2B Outside Sales Professional at StarTech Computing, you will work closely with customers to grow and promote the sale of products and services offered by our company. The Outside Sales Professional is the first line of contact with all new customers. The Outside Sales Representative will establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and current customers. The Outside Sales Professional will work regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Marketing, Purchasing, and Engineering, as well as Senior Management and Leadership representatives.

    – Close and grow sales through professional communication with potential customers in our marketplace.
    – Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with customers to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs. 
    – Communicate sales or service opportunities and customer concerns or suggestions.
    – Identify and resolve client concerns; recommend a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
    – Coordinates company staff to provide exemplary service to customers.
    – Expand market awareness of our products and industry experience by effectively communicating the features and benefits of our products and services.
    – Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met.
    – Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required within CRM.
    – Making technical presentations to Decision Makers and Prospective Customers.
    – Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information).
    – Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
    – Maintain awareness of relevant customer information, future plans, and payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed.
    – Research market requirements and market data.
    – Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
    – Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all company products.
    – Submit sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
    – Submit prospective customer engagement plans and schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up.
    – Adhere to all company procedures, values, and policies so that you provide an accurate representation of the company to all potential and current customers.
